She says, "As a longstanding Volunteer Coordinator of the Guelph Regional Writers Group, Songwriters Association of Canada, of course I will encourage original songs.  I can also provide feedback forms for songwriters that want to obtain written comments and suggestions from their fellow musicians, performers and other audience members.  Why not bring a few printed copies of your lyrics or full charts???"

Dino Busato, General Manager at The Bookshelf was pleased to provide some F&M sponsorship to kick of the open mic series.  It makes it possible to offer a free beer to eligible participants!  Mark your calendar:

Depending on attendance and preferences, we are considering setting up as a songwriters in-the-round, 3 performers on stage for 3 tunes each.  But, this event is not just for songwriters!  The open stage welcomes audience-only attendees, so-called musician "sidemen" and/or cover tunes...

e-mail ADVANCE reservations will be accepted for a spot on the open-stage sign up sheet at sac.guelph(at)gmail.com

You could come straight after work and have dinner in the green room!  And it might even be possible to get underway acoustically or before the official start... Note that the events are intended to be split liscence, so that participants of all-ages are welcome!

Plan to come for 4 weeks in a row!  Kim Logue is hosting 4 weeks running, November 15, 22, 29 & Dec 6
