Eaglewood 2013

I laughed so much during Wendell Ferguson's set, my face hurt.

"surreal.  where's the guy's head?" - i wasn't the only person
dancing in the audience, ha

And, Arthur Renwick commented from stage beside the pony rides, during his set "that 1994 is not even 20 years old yet!" I barely overheard it as I was chatting in the audience, but  I took it as a sign that he wanted me to stop by his open stage later, to play my 8 yr old first music teacher's original tune I'd once mentioned to him.  In 1994, in 1994...  But, when I did attend and asked my fellow open jammers at the time, original or cover? they said original, so I played The World Just Keeps on Turning, instead of Ellie's tune.  I left room for Arthur to take a solo and he did, and even though my voice was not projecting, it was a dream come true to finally actually sing while he was playing ha.

At Ian's song circle, he congratulated me for taking a turn, by splaining he'd first heard me do that tune at Molly Bloom's, with Rob Kerr providing the guitar, and he'd swooned.  How romantic is that?  While I'd been trying it out there with uke gals, I'd been trying to remember how my friend Tony always exclaims after I try it, "That song is a    h i t !" ha.

Was it there that Susan from Accessibility Matters said you can hear my gift with kids on the radio show?  And that they want to have me up to the farm?  I am pretty sure sending in a NLMP to Socan about these open mics earned me $6.58
