i have 5 clubs in my new town to choose from. i think i shalt guest once at each before choosing, so as to make a new neighbourhood network as broad as possible.

i HATE table topics ! ! !

last night as a guest i managed to last 48 seconds, with only 2 ums and a use of the word of the day (nonage). did i say anything related to being a sunflower? i should have mentioned how they shake in the wind...

at least i didn't back out like the other guest who said she would try it and then didn't. it is good to practice your weaknesses right?

it also helps me notice that when i DO have something i WANT to communicate, and have had a moment to prepare, i'm not really shy about it anymore. certainly Much Improved!

and by the way, duh, Toastmasters always stand.

This is the kind of "learning beyond language" that the torture chamber is good for.

As well as recruiting for the Harbourfront Community Centre club, I think I might shalt explore some other geographical options (N says we should start our own. Want to join?)
