As General Evaluator, you draw on your experience to date in Toastmasters. Tackle it from the position of how you "feel" about what role-players did rather than whether it was "right" or "wrong". Feel free to mention to us that will be your approach to your role. You will make a positive contribution to the meeting if you concentrate on your personal reactions and feelings toward what was said or done and how it affected you. Role-players want feedback. I'll bet you have been disappointed when you did not get any. Recognizing something done well is appreciated particularly by first-timers.

This week the "first-timers" are:Toast/Timer, Language Enricher

Observe and make notes as the meeting progresses. The Chair introduces you after the Evaluation portion of the meeting. You go to the lectern, smile, shake hands, then wait for the Chair to be seated. If the Chair has not said so already, tell us something like "Feed-back is an important part of Toastmasters. Our Evaluators have responded to the Speakers. I will comment on other parts of the Meeting, and see that you learn the results of your ballots."

introduce the trophy presenters.
Smile and introduce the Language Enricher (........................................) by name. Shake hands and move back and to one side while he/she presents the Trophy to the winner. Shake hands with the Language Enricher, smile and applaud while the role-player returns to be seated.

Smile and introduce the Table Topics person (............................................) by name. Shake hands and move back and to one side while he/she presents the Trophy to the winner. Shake hands with the Table Topics person, smile and applaud while the role-player returns to be seated.

Comment on the meeting, and keep an eye on the clock and try to finish by 8:10am.

When finished, smile, turn to the Chair and step back to indicate you are through. The Chair will come to the lecturn, shake hands and applaud while you return to your seat.

If someone did a role for the first time, try to have a comment. Talk with role-players after the Meeting if you think it will help and will be well received.
